KWANZAA BALL 2006: A FORMAL AFFAIR 09 Dec 2006 The Black Student Alliance at Yale was proud to present Kwanzaa Ball 2006: A Formal Affair. The event was held in the Harkness Grand Ballroom of the Yale Medical School on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Over 150 members of the Yale community in attendance in addition to guests from the Greater New Haven and Connecticut intercollegiate communities. Featuring a full course dinner, the event also educational, focusing on the history of Kwanzaa and including the traditional aspects of the uniquely black American holiday – pouring libation, honoring the ancestors and lighting the kinara. The event ended with a dance featuring New Haven’s own DJ J-Dub and fun was had by all! Look out for the next BSAY event! Click on the poster for photos!
