BLACK SOLIDARITY CONFERENCE (11.03.06 – 11.05.06) The Black Student Alliance at Yale was proud to present the 12th annual Black Solidarity Conference (BSC), an intercollegiate conference for black students. The 2006 conference was titled "Call to Arms: Battling Complacency, Igniting the Revolution." The conference explored all aspects of blacks leading the charge for social reform through stimulating workshops and speakers. Our main focus this year was the effects of incarceration on the black community and public health in the black community. It is our hope that this conference sparked a new revolutionary spirit in young black leaders, so that we can continue to better our communities and our society. The Conference was also meant to provide an outlet for people of color to network with students from the Ivy League, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Military Academies, and numerous other prestigious schools.
